Blankenese, Here we come... 31.08.2014

Hello everybody,

This blog is the meeting point to all of Blankenese children descendants.
My name is Hagai, 32 years old, a grandson of Tzvi Paltin who arrived to Blankense orphans house from Auswitch after the war was ended.

Surprisingly, I my self still have a strong connection to Hamburg. My Mum lives there for few years now. I remember that only on my last visit I finally found the house where my grandfather was growing up after the war.

As a running fan, I found out that every year, the city of Hamburg organizes a Half Marathon in Blankenese.
It seems like a nice idea to gather all the descendants of Blankenese children to run together so we can remember the past, celebrate the present and shape the future.

What should be done?

1. Creating a list with all participants who willing to join this run. (It doesn't have to be 21k, it can be also on the shorter courses). who ever is interested of joining the group, kindly fill the form on the right side.

2. Looking for funds and sponsorship.

3. Taking care of all needed logistics (Flights, accommodations, shirts, etc.).
